New York – May 27, 2009 – Brown Printing Company has signed a three-year contract with Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), renewing its commitment to Remote Director monitor proofing.  Remote Director, designed to increase production efficiency while reducing costs and hard copy waste associated with traditional proofing, is being used at Brown’s three U.S. production print facilities.

Brown Printing has been using Remote Director since 2005, originally selecting the solution after an extensive test against other remote proofing options. ICS Remote Director became Brown’s remote proofing solution of choice because of its speed, ease of use, and its superior color matching capabilities.

“Brown Printing is very much committed to Remote Director, the most advanced monitor proofing solution available. Remote Director has given us the ability to eliminate hard copy proofs in the pressroom, creating a more automated and streamlined manufacturing process,”  says Lee Edberg, Central Premedia Manager at Brown Printing.

“Our clients continue to be impressed by the time savings and improved color accuracy Remote Director monitor proofing provides over hard copy proofs,”  Edberg adds. “ICS product support and continued improvements via automated updates makes Remote Director as much a clear choice today as it was three years ago.”

“Brown Printing’s renewed commitment to Remote Director demonstrates the quality and value of our product,” says Jeffrey Silverman, ICS President and CEO. “We are proud to continue our partnership with this auspicious organization.”

About Remote Director
Remote Director makes it possible for several users, in different locations, to simultaneously look at and access the colors and contents of a proof, to navigate the layout of the proof, and with the help of small digital “sticky notes”, to discuss and comment on the proofs; making notes and giving instructions for corrections. Based on this process, a complete digital script leading into a seamless documentation of the proofing system can be made, including a legally binding “digital signature”.

Remote Director is the leader in monitor proofing systems because it has combined patented color technology with collaborative and press side proofing in an application giving professionals and their clients all the tools they need to create, view, annotate and collaborate on monitor proofs. Everyone can finally move to a true, fully digital workflow — and simplify client interaction — while increasing color accuracy and consistency. Whether viewing a proof on press, creating a concept or contract proof to send to a client for approval, or just accessing an incoming proof; Remote Director provides unparalleled functionality and performance that keeps production workflows at pace with the demands of a dynamic marketplace.
